At Payoneer Workforce Management, we’re committed to creating a smoother, smarter experience for employers, employees, and contractors alike. 

This month’s updates focus on enhancing visibility, reducing manual corrections, and improving compliance across time logging and approvals.

From proactive submission reminders to flexible self-serve cancellations, these enhancements are designed to improve accuracy, minimize payroll delays, and give teams greater control over their logged hours.

1. Time Logs Enhancements

This release makes logging and managing time entries more intuitive and error-proof, bringing a redesigned time log experience for employees and contractors with countdown nudges, a refreshed add-time popup, and smarter copy behavior to boost timely submissions and reduce common errors.

Key Highlights:

  • Cut-off Banners & Nudges: Countdown banners (for 7, 3, 2, 1 day(s)) and inline nudges now appear on the Time Logs page to remind team members to submit hours before payroll cut-off, with “Days Left” indicators also visible in the Dashboard’s Pending Submissions and Pending Approvals tabs.
  • Revamped “Add Time Log” Popup: A cleaner, simpler interface with fewer fields and interactive data chips, including auto-break handling for entries that span configured break windows and soft reminders to include breaks for shifts longer than 8 hours.
  • Smarter “Copy To”: For employees, the “Copy To” option now automatically excludes rest days and public holidays based on client-configured calendars, with the option to uncheck and include them if needed. (No changes for contractors yet.)

Impact:

  • Higher on-time submissions and approvals, fewer payroll misses.
  • Less manual entry and improved adherence to break-hour rules.
  • Reduced confusion and support tickets around rest-day and holiday entries.

2. Cancel Approved Time Logs

With the new Cancel Approved Time Logs feature, managers, employees, and contractors can quickly correct time logs that were approved in error, maintaining accuracy and transparency in payroll records.

Key Highlights:

  • For managers: Go to Time Logs, select All Timesheets and an employee, open the relevant timesheet, select the approved log, click Cancel, add a reason, and confirm to automatically send a notification to the worker.
  • For employees and contractors: Go to Time Logs and select My Submissions, open the desired time period and approved log, click Cancel, provide a reason, and confirm to automatically notify the manager.
  • Cancellation Rules: Cancellations are allowed only before hours are billed, after which logs are locked to maintain audit accuracy and integrity.

Impact:

  • Fast, self-serve corrections for accidental approvals.
  • Cleaner audit trails for payroll and compliance.
  • Reduced admin or support dependency.

These updates are designed to make time tracking smarter, cleaner, and more compliant for global teams.

3. Help Request Category Revamp

This release introduces a smarter, persona-aware Help Request experience that makes creating, classifying, and routing support tickets more intuitive and accurate for Clients, Employees, and Consultants. 

Key Highlights:

  • Persona-Based Categories: Category and Sub-category lists now automatically adapt based on who is creating the ticket (Client, Employee, or Consultant) to ensure precise tagging and faster routing.
  • Linked Picklists: Sub-categories dynamically populate based on the selected Category, removing free-text fields and reducing misclassification at the source.
  • Removed “Others” Category: The top-level “Others” option has been removed to minimize ambiguity, improve routing accuracy, and promote accurate categorization on the first attempt.
  • End-to-End Mapping: All existing tickets have been automatically remapped to the new category-to-subcategory structure, maintaining historical consistency and continuity. 
  • Reporting Alignment: Help Request analytics and dashboards now use the updated taxonomy, providing clearer trend analysis and persona-specific reporting for Ops and Product teams.

Impact:

  • Faster routing and resolution with persona-aware tagging.
  • Higher first-contact resolution and fewer back-and-forths.
  • Cleaner reporting and analytics through standardized taxonomy.
  • Improved user experience with clearer, role-relevant category options.

P.S. The ticket creation flow remains the same across Clients, Employees, and Consultants, with categories and sub-categories now adapting automatically based on user role.

Help Request Category Revamp

4. Bulk Pay CMS Contractors

This release introduces Bulk Pay for CMS Contractors, enabling clients to process large one-time payouts quickly and accurately without enrolling every recipient into a recurring cycle. 

The new experience simplifies mass payments through Excel-based uploads, clear validation, and transparent post-upload tracking.

Key Highlights:

  • One-Shot Payouts: Initiate bulk payments to large groups, including 100 or more recipients, in a single transaction without setting up recurring cycles. 
  • Two Upload Options: Use the recommended Excel template to fill required fields, upload, and select Pay Now, or upload your own file, which routes through a Help Request for Operations review. 
  • Compliance Validation: Mandatory fields such as Full Name, Email, and Date of Birth are required for cross-border transactions to meet compliance standards.
  • Post-Upload Review: After uploading, clients can view a Payment Summary, applied Credit Notes, and inline Bank Details before confirming the payout. 
  • Job Tracking: All uploads are visible under View Past Jobs, allowing users to resume incomplete payments or review previous ones even after closing the tab.

Action Options: Once the payment request is created, clients can:

  1. Re-upload the file to correct errors
  2. Cancel task if no longer required
  3. Download the errors File if validation issues exist

After a successful transaction, the View Details option becomes available to review Bank Details, Credit Notes, and other payment specifics.

Impact:

  • Faster processing of mass, one-time contractor payouts.
  • Simplified compliance validation for cross-border transfers.
  • Greater visibility and control with detailed post-upload summaries and tracking.

5. Transaction Fee Transparency

This release improves visibility into how transaction fees are calculated and displayed across payout workflows, giving clients and contractors a clearer view of all applicable fee components.

Key Highlights:

  • Configurable Fee Matrix: Now supports multiple variables, including pay-to-bank or wallet, domestic or international, with or without FX conversion, and same or different currency scenarios.
  • Real-Time Fee Breakdown: At Pay Now, users see a detailed breakdown of each applicable fee component, along with fee currency, payout currency, client geography, and payout geography in the right-hand details drawer. 
  • Invoice-Level Transparency: Invoices now include a Transaction Fee column that shows who bears the fee (Client or Contractor) and the corresponding amount. A click reveals the same detailed breakdown for full clarity.

Impact:

  • Greater visibility and accuracy in transaction cost details.
  • Improved compliance and financial transparency.
  • Reduced support queries related to fee clarification.

6. “Where’s My Money?” For Contractors

This release introduces a dedicated dashboard section that gives contractors real-time visibility into their payment status, reducing the need for manual follow-ups and support tickets.

Key Highlights:

  • New Dashboard Section: Displays clear payment status definitions such as Raised, Awaiting Funds, Funds Received, and Scheduled to help contractors understand where their payment stands.
  • Track Money Drawer: Shows a detailed timeline of key events, including Invoice Submitted, Funding Complete, and Payment Scheduled, along with any Holds or Failed Payments and the next steps if applicable. 
  • End-to-End Visibility: Provides a complete view of the payment journey, reducing confusion and support requests related to payment status.

Impact:

  • Fewer “payment status” tickets from contractors.
  • Greater transparency and trust through clear tracking.
  • Improved communication and faster issue resolution.
